Exclusive: Inside View of La Quinta House Fire Captured on Cal Fire Video
For the first time, we are seeing what firefighters saw inside a La Quinta home as flames tore through the property Saturday afternoon, November 29, 2025. The unique 10-minute video, courtesy of Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, reveals the intense heat and rapidly growing smoke that crews faced upon entering the residence.
Fire officials say they arrived to find visible flames and thick smoke pouring from the home, located in the 81000 block of Kingston Heath inside the gated community of PGA West. The fire broke out just before 2 p.m., quickly spreading throughout the structure and causing significant damage. In the video, firefighters navigate dark hallways lit only by flashes of fire, illustrating just how dangerous and disorienting a house fire can be from the inside.
During the response, two firefighters were injured and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. There is no update yet on their condition. Officials have not released details on how the fire started, but an investigation is underway.
Neighbors in the exclusive golf community reported seeing smoke rising above rooftops and emergency crews rushing into the area. Cal Fire credits the quick action of first responders with stopping the blaze from spreading to nearby homes.
We will continue to follow this story and bring you updates on the investigation and the condition of the injured firefighters as more information becomes available.
