CV Water Counts Educates Coachella Valley Residents on Conservation and Water Resources
Coachella Valley Water District is spotlighting CV Water Counts, a collaborative effort among six water agencies across the Coachella Valley focused on educating residents about water conservation and local water resources.
According to CVWD Communications Manager Lorraine Garcia, the program was formed to create a unified message around water education and to better serve customers throughout the region. The partnership allows agencies to share information about conservation efforts, water sources, and how utilities manage drinking water and wastewater services.
One of the program’s key initiatives is the Water Academy, an educational series open to anyone interested in learning more about where their water comes from and how it is managed. The academy typically consists of several evening sessions held at the UCR Palm Desert campus.
