Vintage and Modern PEZ Dispensers Go on Display at Palm Springs Library
A sweet slice of pop culture is now on display in downtown Palm Springs.
A collection of vintage and modern PEZ dispensers has opened at the Wellwood Murray Memorial Library, offering visitors a colorful look at the iconic candy’s long and quirky history. The exhibit is free to the public and will be on view for approximately six weeks.
The collection belongs to part-time Palm Springs resident Don Yeager, who has spent years assembling a wide range of PEZ dispensers that span decades of design and pop culture influence. From classic characters to more modern and novelty designs, the display highlights how the candy evolved from a simple confection into a beloved collectible.
Library officials say the exhibit celebrates not just the candy itself, but the role PEZ has played in popular culture, connecting generations through familiar characters, bright colors, and playful designs. The display offers something for longtime collectors as well as casual visitors who may remember their first PEZ dispenser from childhood.
The exhibit can be viewed during regular library hours, making it an easy stop for residents and visitors alike. Organizers say the display adds a fun, nostalgic element to the library’s rotating exhibits and encourages the community to explore unique collections with local ties.
