Plaza Theatre Event to Explore Hollywood’s Golden Age in Palm Springs for Modernism Week

With Modernism Week just around the corner, the Plaza Theatre is offering a nostalgic journey into the Golden Age of Hollywood and its lasting ties to Palm Springs.

The event, titled “Hollywood Meets the Palm Springs Plaza Theatre,” takes place Feb. 20 at 9:30 a.m. and will be hosted by show business expert and historian Jim Cook, with a special introduction by Lucie Arnaz.

Attendees will enjoy a multimedia presentation featuring historic Hollywood film premieres and rare, exclusive footage showcasing how Palm Springs became a desert playground for Tinseltown’s biggest stars.

Organizers say the program is a perfect complement to Modernism Week celebrations and a must-see for film buffs, history lovers, and anyone fascinated by Palm Springs’ glamorous past.
