Desert Hot Springs Partners With Oswit Land Trust for Blind Canyon Community Cleanup
The City of Desert Hot Springs is teaming up with Oswit Land Trust for a community cleanup at Blind Canyon later this week.
The cleanup is scheduled for Friday and will begin at 8 a.m. Volunteers are asked to meet near the Blind Canyon trailhead, located off Santa Cruz Road and Casa Grande Drive.
Organizers say the effort will focus on strengthening trail conditions, improving overall safety, and supporting the long-term health of one of the most frequently used hiking trails in Desert Hot Springs. Blind Canyon is a popular destination for both residents and visitors, making ongoing maintenance and stewardship especially important.
Oswit Land Trust says volunteers are welcome to participate for any amount of time they are able to give, noting that even short contributions can make a meaningful difference. The organization encourages community members of all experience levels to take part.
Those planning to attend are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing, bring water, and be prepared for outdoor conditions.
More information about the cleanup effort and future volunteer opportunities can be found through Oswit Land Trust and the City of Desert Hot Springs.
