Early Morning SoCal Earthquakes on Thursday, January 15, 2026: Update!

Originally cited as a 4.39 earthquake at 1:54a this morning centered at 32.791 N/-115.453 W, this intermediate shaker was downgraded slightly to a magnitude of 4.1 quake. This occurred 4-miles WSW of the SoCal city of Holtville in South Central Imperial County or 76-miles SE of Indio.

This event was preceded with a moderate 3.5 shaker in the same general area at 1:40a.

There were also seven small aftershocks all in the two-category between 1:58a and 4:01a.
