International Desert Conservation Summit Returns to Palm Desert This Weekend
Wildlife advocates from around the world are gathering in Palm Desert this weekend for the 5th Annual International Desert Conservation Summit, hosted at the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens. The event runs Friday through Sunday.
The summit brings together experts, filmmakers, and environmental advocates for three days of panels, presentations, and guided hikes focused on global and local conservation efforts. It's the fifth year the Living Desert has hosted the gathering.
Saturday's keynote comes from Paul Rosolie, a conservationist, author, and filmmaker known for his work protecting the Amazon rainforest. Rosolie's projects, including "Dark Green," center on conservation storytelling and documenting some of the world's most remote and vulnerable ecosystems.
Tickets and event details are available at livingdesert.org.
