Broadway Star Christine Andreas Brings One-Woman Show “'S Wonderful” to McCallum Theatre
Broadway powerhouse Christine Andreas is bringing her acclaimed one-woman show, “'S Wonderful,” to the McCallum Theatre this Thursday for a special one-night-only performance in Palm Desert.
The Tony Award nominee is currently touring the country, but Coachella Valley audiences will get a rare opportunity to experience the show in an intimate cabaret-style setting that places the audience directly on stage. The unique seating arrangement creates a close, personal connection between Andreas and the crowd, transforming the performance into a shared, emotional experience.
Andreas is joined on stage by Broadway composer Martin Silvestri, who is not only her longtime musical director but also her husband. The two have collaborated for decades, beginning with their first performance together at the White House. Andreas says having Silvestri by her side is grounding, especially in a cabaret setting where the performer stands alone without a cast or character to hide behind.
The show blends music, storytelling, and reflection, with Andreas describing it as uplifting, energizing, and deeply human. Critics have praised “'S Wonderful” as magical and emotionally powerful, with audiences often describing the performance as moving and unforgettable.
For Andreas, performing on stage is like inviting the audience into the heart of her home. By bringing them onto the stage with her, she says audiences gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be a performer and artist, creating a connection that feels genuine and heartfelt.
“S’Wonderful” takes the stage Thursday, January 22. While the performance is nearly sold out, a limited number of tickets remain available. Tickets can be purchased through the McCallum Theatre website.
