🐹 Cherries, Corn Fritters & Hot Dog Trivia
Today’s holidays are a mix of adorable, nostalgic, and delicious — and we’ve got a pop quiz to match.
🐾 National Guinea Pig Appreciation Day
Cuddly, squeaky, and surprisingly historic — guinea pigs have been pets, symbols, and (yes) science experiments for centuries. Originating in the Andes of Peru, these little furballs are beloved by kids and grownups alike.
🐹 Fun fact: One of us had two growing up! Did you?
🌽 National Corn Fritters Day
Crispy, golden bites of corn and batter, straight from Southern kitchens to your plate. Dip them in something spicy or eat them plain — they’re a comfort food classic that’s hard to beat.
🍒 National Cherry Day
Tart or sweet, red or yellow — cherries are peak summer fruit. Toss them in a pie, muddle them into a cocktail, or snack on them by the handful. Today’s the perfect excuse.
🌭 National Hot Dog Day
Mustard or ketchup? Classic or veggie? Today’s all about embracing this summer staple however you like it.
(Unless you're skipping them altogether — we see you, veggie dog folks.)
Whatever you’re celebrating — guinea pigs, cherry pie, a plate of fries, or a hot dog at your favorite stand — we hope your Wednesday feels just right.
