At Nellie Coffman Middle School, advanced art teacher Mindy McEachran is allowing professional artists to speak and create art in her class. The student’s first immersive experience is with Indio born and raised artist/muralist Adem Enrique Rodriguez. Rodriguez is known for his bold and expressive paintings of faces and human figures. Under his direction muralist Rodriguez assisted and directed the creation of a new mural themed "Your Art Matters." During the class, Rodriguez said he wants to be an inspiration, beacon and example for freedom of expression. The mural created in this art session will be hung on campus at Nellie Coffman middle school. For more information on the artist click here. To stay up to date with Nellie Coffman Middle click here.
