San Diego es el segundo condado con más hospitalizaciones por Covid-19 en California
El número de pacientes infectados de coronavirus que están hospitalizados en el Condado de San Diego ya supera los 600, de acuerdo con el último reporte de este domingo.
En total se tiene contabilizados a 628 pacientes hospitalizados en el condado por Covid-19, un incremento de 38 ingresos con respecto al día sábado, de los cuales 124 se encuentran en terapia intensiva, diez casos más en dicha área que el día anterior.
El Condado de San Diego tiene el segundo mayor registro de hospitalizaciones por Covid-19 en California, destronando de dicha posición a San Bernardino, quienes reportaron 624. El Condado de Los Ángeles continúa como el más afectado, al reportar 1,792 pacientes hospitalizados.

El jueves, Los Ángeles reportaba 5,976 nuevos casos de Covid-19 y otras 11 defunciones asociadas al virus, lo que eleva la cifra de casos a 420,089 y las muertes a 4,461 desde que empezó la pandemia.
Durante este fin de semana festivo no se tuvo una actualización mayor.
El condado ha recomendado que las personas que están preocupadas por infectarse de Covid-19 y otros que quieran realizarse la prueba para el Covid-19, se trasladen directamente a un hospital para tomar la prueba si han presentado síntomas severos.

Quienes solo presenten síntomas leves deberán contactar a su médico vía telefónica para asesorarse con el tratamiento a seguir.
Paquetes de pruebas de antígeno para Covid-19 están a la venta en farmacias y tiendas de conveniencia, pero a medida que la demanda ha incrementado se han vuelto más difíciles de conseguir.
La tasa de Covid-19 es tres veces mayor para todos los residentes no vacunados del área de San Diego en comparación con aquellos que si fueron inoculados. 36 casos cada 100,000 para los no vacunados, comparado con 11.4 casos por cada 100,000 en caso de los vacunados.

Además encontramos que el riesgo de hospitalización es cuatro veces mayor en quienes no tienen un esquema de vacunación completo, además que se tiene siete veces más probabilidades de morir a causa del Covid-19.

New findings reveal what led to the death of Jackie, the beloved bald eagle from Big Bear Valley. A necropsy confirmed highly pathogenic avian influenza (bird flu) as the primary cause of her decline. The infection caused a severe stomach ulcer, internal bleeding, anemia and a secondary bacterial infection.
