An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Sunday, May 11, 2025!
Like yesterday, as an upper-level ridge of high pressure sits over the Southwest, Valley highs will once again easily find themselves between 104° and 108° with low relative humidity and a few bands of clouds.
As a disturbance approaches Southern California tomorrow, temperatures will slowly back-off while afternoon/evening on-shore winds pick-up.
On-shore winds will be at their strongest between the late-afternoon/evening hours on Monday through most of Tuesday. A Wind Advisory has been posted for those two days and includes the West end of the Coachella Valley, San Gorgonio Pass, area mountains and areas of the High Desert.
The Valley will most likely see an Air Quality alert posted for the Valley during this period because of elevated dust and dirt.
This system will also play a major role in pulling-down temperatures. The Valley will peak in the triples today, 90s tomorrow, followed by 80s on Tuesday. In fact, no triples are expected all of next week.
