AMC Theatres to Launch Half-Price Wednesday Tickets Starting July 9
AMC Theatres is rolling out a new promotion aimed at boosting midweek attendance. Starting July 9, the nation’s largest movie theater chain will offer half-price tickets every Wednesday, based on the standard adult evening ticket price.
The company announced the move as part of its strategy to attract more customers during weekdays, especially between busy weekend showings. The promotion, however, will not apply to premieres shown in large-screen formats, which will remain at regular prices.
AMC’s decision follows a recent quarterly report that showed a decline in admissions revenue, signaling a need for new incentives to draw moviegoers back to theaters.
"We are committed to finding ways to offer our guests great value and a great movie-going experience," an AMC spokesperson said. "Half-price Wednesdays are a perfect way for fans to enjoy their favorite films on the big screen without breaking the bank."
AMC hopes this weekly deal will not only improve weekday attendance but also provide an accessible entertainment option for families and movie lovers looking for a midweek outing.
