Nonstop Flights to Newark with United Airlines Added To Palm Springs Airport

Travelers heading to the East Coast now have a new nonstop option from Palm Springs. Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) announced this week that United Airlines will launch nonstop service between Palm Springs and Newark, New Jersey, starting December 18, 2025.

The announcement marks the first time in over five years that United Airlines has offered regular service on this route. City and airport officials say the new flights arrive just in time for the busy holiday travel season, giving both locals and visitors a convenient coast-to-coast option.

``This expanded service strengthens PSP's growing air service portfolio and reflects our commitment to thoughtful, strategic growth,'' Jake Ingrassia, communications and marketing specialist at PSP, said in a statement.

United’s new flights from Palm Springs to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) will operate regularly starting in mid-December. Specific flight times and booking options are expected to be available soon through United Airlines’ website and app.

For longtime locals like NBC Palm Springs' own Tim O'Brien, who has family in New Jersey, this announcement is especially welcome news.

This latest route addition follows a period of steady growth for Palm Springs International Airport as it continues to expand its list of direct destinations across the U.S. and beyond.
