Jerry Steffen's Hashtag Holiday Calendar Brings Infinity, Frozen Custard, and Rock Trivia to Friday Morning

Friday, August 8th proved to be more than just another summer morning in the Coachella Valley. According to Jerry's holiday calendar, the date packed quite the punch with multiple celebrations worth noting.

It's All About That Lazy Eight

The star of the day was International Infinity Day, cleverly timed for 8-8 because of the infinity symbol's resemblance to a sideways figure eight. "Today we ponder the concept of infinity and its implications," Jerry noted, giving viewers something to think about beyond the morning weather forecast.

But that wasn't the only reason to celebrate. Global Sleep Under the Stars Day offered the perfect excuse for desert dwellers to take advantage of those cooler Coachella Valley nights. "With excessive heat during the day... our nights can be awesome," Jerry suggested, though he wisely recommended mosquito repellent for any stargazing adventures.

Food lovers had their own reason to celebrate with National Frozen Custard Day. Jerry gave a shout-out to Culver's, the Wisconsin-based chain famous for their frozen custard made with eggs, cream, and sugar - though the delicacy might be unfamiliar to some West Coast viewers.

The historical highlight was National Dollar Day, commemorating August 8, 1786, when the Continental Congress established America's currency system. "I'd like to get a few of those today for dollar day," Jerry quipped."
