Our beloved weatherman returned to the NBC Palm Springs morning show with his signature "Hashtag Holiday Calendar and Pop Quiz" segment, brought to you by One Coachella Valley. And what a Monday, September 8th comeback it was!

Four Fun Holidays You Probably Didn't Know About

Jerry kicked off the week by exploring some delightfully quirky celebrations happening right now:

National Boss Employee Exchange Day had the crew dreaming big. Jerry's first act as his own boss? Giving himself a well-deserved raise! Meanwhile, his co-host showed her generous spirit, saying she'd take everyone out to lunch because "appreciation is a lost art." We couldn't agree more!

National Date Nut Bread Day gets the royal treatment with not one, but TWO celebration dates per year (September 8th and December 22nd). This moist quick bread featuring dates and walnuts clearly deserves the extra love.

National Actors Day gives us a perfect excuse to celebrate all the performers who entertain us on stage, television, and in movies.

But the real star of Monday's show? Star Trek Day!

Live Long and Prosper... If You Can Do the Hand Thing

In honor of the original Star Trek series debuting on September 8, 1966, Jerry tested the crew's Vulcan hand salute skills. Spoiler alert: it's harder than it looks! While Jerry needed rubber bands to pull off the iconic gesture, both Harrison and Rico in the control room nailed it perfectly. "That's an actual skill, you guys!" Jerry declared.

Pop Quiz Puts Trekkies to the Test

Jerry's Star Trek-themed quiz questions proved challenging even for a Monday morning:
