Kris Gunterson, Program Manager at the CV Sync Traffic Management Center, took the time to drop by the morning show today to highligh three major construction zones affecting Coachella Valley commuters this week.

Palm Springs: South Palm Canyon Bridge Project

Construction continues on the west side bridge deck of the new South Palm Canyon Bridge. Expect increased truck traffic and flaggers in the area. Drivers can use Belardo Road as an alternate route, accessible via Mesquite or Sunny Dunes. The project is expected to continue into 2026 or possibly 2027.

Cathedral City: Shopping Center Signal Modifications

Three traffic signals near the new shopping center are undergoing modifications.
