Traffic Alert: Gene Autry Trail to be closed through Friday

The City of Palm Springs announced Thursday motorists should expect Gene Autry Trail to be closed through Friday as a result of high winds across the Coachella Valley.

Sand build up and low visibility is forcing the closure and there is little that can be done.

A wind advisory is in effect through Friday at 11:00 p.m.
