Firebirds shutout in Colorado Tuesday night

It was a rough night in Colorado on Tuesday for the Coachella Valley Firebirds. The Firebirds were shutout 5-0 by an Eagles team that sits in third place in the Pacific Division. It's the first time this season the Firebirds have been shutout. A sloppy first period was the difference and the Firebirds couldn't recover. Colorado goaltender Kevin Mandolese stopped all 23 shots he faced. Prior to the game, the team announced forward Jacob Melanson is out indefinitely with a lower -injury. Max McCormick is still listed as day-to-day.
