First Tribal Member Named On A Federal Building
It was a historic day for the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians on thursday the United States Postal Office on Sunrise Way was designated as the "Chairman Richard Milanovich Post Office." It's the first time an Agua Caliente tribal member has been named on a federal building. Milanovich was chairman from 1984 to 2012. His son, Reid, is the current tribal chairman and helped lead Thursday's ceremony. You will find Chairman Reid Milanovich featured in our native american heritage special here on NBC Palm Springs which airs Sunday November 17th.
