Firebirds extend point streak to six games, fall to Colorado in shootout

The Firebirds fell to the Colorado Eagles in a shootout Wednesday night 3-2. The Firebirds now have points in six straight games and sit at 8-5-0-1 on the season. A bit of a back and forth game, Colorado opened the scoring just a minute into the game. The Firebirds would pull even in the second period with a breakaway goal from John Hayden. Then in the final minutes of the period, Luke Henman would give the Firebirds lead finding the back of the net. Colorado would tie the game at 2 with a goal at the start of the third period. The homestand continues with a game Friday, November 22 against the San Diego Gulls. Puck drop at 7 p.m. You can catch all of the action on My Firebirds TV on KPSE beginning at 6:30 with Hockey Night Coachella Valley.
