Angelina Jolie to Receive Desert Palm Achievement Award at Palm Springs Film Festival

The Palm Springs International Film Festival is gearing up to recognize the exceptional talent of Angelina Jolie, who will receive the Desert Palm Achievement Award for her performance as opera singer Maria Callas in the film Maria. Known for her dedication to roles that challenge her limits, Jolie's portrayal of the iconic singer involved months of rigorous preparation and vocal training. In an interview, Jolie shared her initial apprehensions about taking on the part. "Had I known in the beginning what I was going to have to do, I would have frozen," she confessed. "I may not have even said yes; I may have been too scared." Despite the daunting task, she pushed forward, embracing the challenge and demonstrating her extraordinary dedication. Her commitment paid off, as director Rick d'Mello noted, "I've never seen someone go from zero to 100 so fast."
