Indio Police Veteran Ben Guitron Joins City Council After 40 Years of Service
Ben Guitron, the longtime Public Information Officer for the Indio Police Department, has officially retired after more than four decades of service. Guitron’s dedication to the department and the city has left a lasting impact on the community he served so diligently.
However, Guitron’s commitment to Indio doesn’t end with his retirement from law enforcement. On Tuesday, he was sworn in as the newest member of the Indio City Council. The announcement has been met with enthusiasm from both residents and city officials, who are excited about the expertise and perspective he brings to the role.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ben Guitron to the City Council,” a city spokesperson stated. “His experience and dedication to our community make him an invaluable addition as we continue working to improve the lives of our residents.”
Guitron’s decades of service with the Indio Police Department have prepared him well for the challenges of public office. As he transitions into this new position, he remains focused on fostering community engagement and addressing the needs of Indio’s residents.
This new chapter marks an exciting continuation of Guitron’s lifelong commitment to serving the Indio community.
