An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Sunday, December 8, 2024!

After this wonderful weekend, a few notable changes will be heading our way. Aside from a few early upper-level, fair-weather high clouds, we'll see sunshine today with midday temperatures in the upper-70s. Clear skies are expected for your Monday with highs in the middle-to-upper 70s and strong evening breezes. Next -- as a frontal boundary moves through the Southwest -- temperatures cool while winds strengthen. Although Santa Ana winds will be an issue between Monday and Tuesday, the timing for the strongest gusts looks to be during Tuesday morning and afternoon. Because of the increase of winds and extremely low relative humidity, a Red Flag Warning has been posted between Monday morning and Wednesday morning for a large area of Southern California, primarily West of the Coachella Valley.
