Notre Dame Cathedral Reopens to Visitors 5.5 Years After Devastating Fire

The newly restored Notre Dame Cathedral has reopened its doors after 5.5 years of meticulous restoration following a devastating fire. The reopening ceremony featured the solemn toll of its ancient bells, the grand organ's melodies, and a youth choir performance. Dignitaries, including First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, joined global leaders and 2,500 guests for a special mass. Paris Archbishop Laurent Ri led the service, which included the blessing of a new bronze altar. The public was welcomed later that evening to worship inside the beautifully refurbished cathedral, a timeless symbol of resilience, humanity, and faith.
