A Weather Heads-Up for Tuesday, December 10, 2024!

In the wake of a cold front moving through the Southwest, the Coachella Valley will experience noticeably cooler weather today with highs in the upper-60s/lowers-70s. That will be followed by some of the chilliest temperatures so far this season. Because of clear skies, light winds and very low dew points, radiational cooling will take place this evening allowing many areas to experience overnight temps in the 30s. For those communities situated below sea level on the Southeast end of the Valley, you could see your thermometer fall close to freezing just before sunrise on Wednesday morning. Santa Ana winds will subside throughout this afternoon but will dry-out dew our dew-points to just above zero today and tomorrow.
