Man Arrested At Trump Rally Due for Arraignment in Indio
The Las Vegas man who was arrested outside of president-elect Donald Trump's rally in Coachella back in October is set to appear in court at the Indio Larson Justice Center this morning.
Vem Miller, is set to appear on charges of carrying a loaded firearm in a public place after being arrested on october 12th for allegedly having a shotgun, a loaded handgun and a high-capacity magazine, when searched at a checkpoint near the rally.
In a press conference the day after Miller's arrest, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco said deputies also found quote "multiple fake I.D.'s" including passports and driver licenses with different names.
Miller has since filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against Sheriff Bianco and some deputies, alleging defamation of character due to Bianco's statements claiming quote " we probably stopped another assassination attempt"
Miller claims he was not there to harm the former president, but insists he only had the guns for his own protection.
