An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Wednesday, January 8, 2025!

Santa Ana winds will continue to be an issue through Thursday with the strongest gusts expected today. Both a High Wind Warning and a Wind Advisory have been posted for areas of Southern California through this afternoon.

And -- paired with low humidity -- the Fire Danger for the Southland remains high through Thursday. A large area of the Southland is under a Red Flag Warning.

As far as high temperatures, the Coachella Valley will experience close-to-normal numbers in the upper-60s/lower-70s. That will be followed by another day of sunshine, but with highs in the middle-to-upper 70s.
