An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Saturday, January, 11, 2025!

A cold front will move through the Southwest triggering another round of winds for Southern California.

Santa Ana winds are expected to return to SoCal between this afternoon and Sunday afternoon with the strongest gusts expected around sunset tonight. Another round of occasionally gusty Northeasterly winds is forecast for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Several wind-related advisories have been posted for this weekend including a High Wind Warning, Wind Advisory, Red Flag Warning, Fire Weather Watch and an Air Quality Alert.

This frontal boundary will not bring any precipitation, but it will usher-in cooler weather. Those Coachella Valley high temperatures will slip from warm, middle-to-upper 70s today to below-normal numbers in the middle-60s on Monday.
