American Express Golf Tournament Day Three
The 2025 American Express Golf Tournament at PGA West in La Quinta is winding down, with just one day remaining before the final championship round. Austrian golfer Sepp Straka, currently ranked 36th in the world, has a commanding four-shot lead going into the final day of competition. Straka, who has two tour wins under his belt, has proven his consistency and composure, and many are eyeing him as the favorite to secure his third victory.
With the tournament’s action unfolding across multiple courses, the stage is set for an exciting finish. The stadium course, known for its challenges and tighter layout following greens renovations, will test the players' skills further on Sunday. The course is expected to play tougher, with minimal birdie opportunities, which could make the leaderboard shift dramatically.
The final pairing of the day features Straka alongside Jason Day and local favorite Charley Hoffman. With only a few strokes separating the contenders, it’s likely the final round will see some strategic play, as golfers adjust to the tougher conditions and high stakes. Thousands of spectators have flocked to the course, with even Journey providing a soundtrack to the day’s events, making for an unforgettable experience. Fans and players alike are bracing for what promises to be an exciting conclusion to this year’s tournament.

We spoke with Mateo Gomez of Forest Lawn about the importance of keeping those memories alive and creating healthier conversations around grief and loss, including the stigma surrounding suicide. Join Forest Lawn for a special Día de los Muertos celebration this Monday in Cathedral City, from 5 to 8 p.m. Families are invited to come together, remember loved ones and celebrate their lives. #DiaDeLosMuertos #DayOfTheDead #ForestLawn #CathedralCity #RememberingLovedOnes #GriefSupport #NBCPalmSprings
