Devere Rogers Brings Fat Ham to Life at Dezart Performs

Actor Devere Rogers, known for his work in television, film, and theater, is captivating audiences in Dezart Performs’ production of Fat Ham, running through January 26th. Rogers joined Desert Entertainment with Todd to share his experience working on the show and his newfound appreciation for the Palm Springs theater community.

Rogers, who is based in Los Angeles, described his time at Dezart Performs as “amazing,” crediting Artistic Director Michael Shaw for his leadership and the community for their overwhelming support. “Palm Springs has really held us and showed up in such a big way,” Rogers said.

Comparing Palm Springs audiences to those in Los Angeles, Rogers noted a key difference: “In Palm Springs, when there’s a play people want to see, they show up and buy tickets. That love and support from the audience is incredible.”

While Rogers primarily works in film and television, theater remains his first love. He expressed a desire to return to Palm Springs for future productions, saying, “I’ve fallen in love with this city and can’t wait to come back.”
