An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Thursday, January 23, 2025!
Today, the Coachella Valley gets my 'Cloud-Free Guarantee.' Aside from abundant sunshine, our troposphere will be extremely dry along with slightly above normal highs in the middle-70s.
We'll see partly cloudy skies on Friday with near-normal highs close to 70°. Cooler air filters into the Valley beginning Saturday.
As an upper-level cold-core closed-low moves over Southern California, temperatures go down while the chance of wet weather goes up.
Widespread precipitation will fall over the Southland between late-Saturday into early-Tuesday. The best chance of seeing rain over the Coachella Valley will be on Sunday followed by a few lingering showers on Monday.
Area mountains will receive snow between Saturday afternoon and Tuesday morning. The snow level will drop from 4900-feet on Saturday afternoon to 3600-feet by Tuesday morning. The Tram is expected to pick-up over a half-foot of snow.
Valley skies clear-out on Wednesday.
