Deadly Eaton, Palisades Fires Fully Contained

Cal Fire has confirmed that the Eaton and Palisades fires, both of which erupted on January 7th, are now fully contained. The Eaton Fire devastated the Altadena area, claiming 17 lives and destroying over 9,400 structures. It burned more than 14,000 acres before firefighters gained control. The Palisades Fire tore through the Pacific Palisades area, killing 12 people and consuming over 23,000 acres. More than 6,800 structures were lost in the blaze, marking one of California’s deadliest fire outbreaks this year.
