Palisades Fire Forces Horse Sanctuary Evacuation

Jigsaw Farms, a horse sanctuary in the Santa Monica Mountains, was devastated by the Palisades Fire. The owner and her team made multiple trips to rescue all 54 horses from the advancing flames. Many of the animals suffered burns, smoke inhalation, and eye irritation and are now receiving care at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank. Veterinarians are closely monitoring their recovery, using treatments like nebulizers to aid breathing. The sanctuary hopes to rebuild and eventually bring the horses back home.
