PCH Reopens, Pacific Palisades Residents Concerned
The Pacific Coast Highway is set to reopen Sunday, ending the curfew and removing National Guard checkpoints in Pacific Palisades. Many residents, still reeling from the devastation of recent fires, feel it is too soon and worry about security. Homeowners fear looting and trespassing, as many properties remain unlivable without water, power, or gas. While the National Guard will continue securing critical sites, local law enforcement is increasing patrols. Despite these efforts, some residents argue that allowing unrestricted access could turn the area into a spectacle for outsiders.
