Rescuers Save Dog After 200-Foot Fall

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office came to the aid of Moscow, a dog who fell 200 feet down a waterfall near Lake Tahoe. The hiker who owned Moscow reported the accident, and rescuers found the dog at the base of the waterfall, where an ice climber was already providing care. Due to Moscow’s injuries, a harnessed backpack designed for animal transport was used to bring him to safety. The injured dog was quickly taken to an emergency vet for treatment. Moscow is now recovering and in good condition after the scare.
