An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Tuesday, February 4, 2025!

As a trough of low pressure approaches -- and then moves through the Southwest -- a few changes will take place.

Today, the Coachella Valley will be under mostly sunny skies with above-normal high temperatures in the upper-70s/lower-80s. This disturbance will also trigger gusty on-shore winds around sunset each day through Thursday.

This frontal boundary will also direct moisture from an atmospheric river over areas of the Southland between late tonight and Friday morning. It looks as though the best shot of precipitation will be on Wednesday and again late-Thursday into early-Friday. But, it looks like all of the measurable rain will stay to the North and West of the Valley.

Despite all of the wet weather near us, the Valley will still experience mostly sunny skies and above-normal high temperatures for the rest of the week.
