An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Sunday, February 9, 2025!

After a couple of warmer-than-normal days, our temperatures back-down while the chance of rain moves-up.

The Coachella Valley will see partly cloudy skies this afternoon as midday high temperatures heat-up into the upper-70s. It will be just as warm on Monday under lots of sunshine.

As a disturbance approaches, on-shore winds will begin to pick-up on Tuesday. The Valley will be under a mix of Sun and clouds with noticeably cooler temperatures.

Next, a deepening upper-level low will play a major role in directing heavy moisture from an Atmospheric River over Southern California later this week.

While areas to our West will experience the chance of precipitation between Tuesday night and Saturday morning, the best shots of Coachella Valley showers will be Wednesday afternoon and evening, with higher totals during the first-half of Friday.

Again, much higher precip totals will occur over mountains and the Inland Empire to the Coast.
