An upper-level low is guiding an Atmospheric River of moisture over the Southwest today.
There will be very heavy rain over mountains and from the Inland Empire to the Coast through Friday around noon.
The Coachella Valley will see scattered showers with measurable precipitation between this afternoon and very early-Friday morning. We are expecting totals of up to four-tenths-of-an-inch on the West end, to two-tenths over the Southeast side. A Flood Watch has been posted for mountains and areas West of the Valley.
Our snow level will lower from around 8200-feet this morning to around 6000-feet Friday morning. Over a foot of new snow is expected at The Tram.
SoCal showers will slowly end by midday Friday as skies begin to clear. Valley highs that afternoon will peak close-to-normal in the lower-70s.
You can expect lots of high clouds with filtered sunshine on Saturday and Sunday when highs will find their way into the middle-70s. Closer to 80° beginning Monday.
