Caltrans Halts Highway 111 Construction for Holiday Weekend Amid Wet Weather

PALM SPRINGS – With rain in the forecast, Caltrans is hitting the brakes on Highway 111 construction for the holiday weekend, giving drivers temporary relief from roadwork delays. Construction will pause today and resume next Tuesday to prevent weather-related disruptions.

However, some traffic closures remain in place. The driveway closure at Palm Springs Shopping Plaza on Gene Autry Trail will continue through February 21st, impacting access to businesses in the area. Additionally, North Indian Canyon Drive remains partially closed between Vistachino and Garnett Avenue, an ongoing traffic hurdle for commuters.
