Palm Desert Server Surprised with $1,000 Tip at Le Provence Rotisserie Café
A hardworking server a Le Provence Rotisserie Café in Palm Desert was in for the surprise of a lifetime when Toyota and Honda of the Desert teamed up with NBC Palm Springs to honor her as the Server of the Week—and reward her with a $1,000 tip!
Anthony Caridi, representing Toyota and Honda of the Desert, arrived at the Palms to Pines Shopping Center to surprise Adriana, a dedicated and beloved member of the restaurant’s staff. As the team walked in and called her name, Adriana’s shocked expression said it all.
"You look surprised!" Caridi exclaimed. "Are you sure you didn’t know we were coming?"
Adriana admitted she was expecting the news crew but had no idea about the generous tip. "Absolutely not," she said, still in disbelief.
The moment was filled with excitement and gratitude as fellow employees and customers cheered for Adriana. She humbly accepted the recognition, saying, "I'm flattered. Thank you so much!"
When asked what she planned to do with the money, Adriana shared that she’d likely save it for summertime.
Farshid, the owner of French Rotisserie Café, praised his entire staff, emphasizing that the restaurant thrives on teamwork and a welcoming atmosphere. "If our employees are happy, the customers are happy," he said.
Caridi also took a moment to highlight the restaurant’s outstanding reputation. "The food here is off the hook—it is amazing!" he added.
French Rotisserie Café continues to be a favorite dining spot in Palm Desert, known not only for its delicious cuisine but also for the warm and friendly service provided by employees like Adriana.

Palm Springs firefighters responded Thursday to a report of a person struck by lightning in the Chino Canyon area. The person was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Firefighters also responded to a palm tree fire in Chino Canyon that officials say was caused by an apparent lightning strike.
