Shadow Hills High School Staff Serves Pancakes to Students for Valentine's Day
On this Valentine’s Day, the staff at Shadow Hills High School decided to show their students how much they are appreciated with a heartwarming gesture – a pancake breakfast. Principal Dr. David Dunn, along with several staff members, dedicated the morning to ensuring every student felt the love.
"It’s a tradition we wanted to start to show our students that we care about them," Dr. Dunn shared. "We went out of our way to make sure it’s a special day for them."
As students arrived on campus, they were greeted with smiles from staff members handing out milk, juice, and fruit, guiding them toward the main attraction: pancakes. This thoughtful event was not only about food but also about creating a sense of community and showing the students that they matter.
For many students, the gesture resonated deeply. "When people are alone and feel lonely, I think it is really important to show love," one student explained. "It helps people see that the staff cares about us, and they're willing to be here early in the morning to make us pancakes."
Throughout the morning, staff and students worked together to serve hundreds of pancakes, all before the bell rang to begin classes. The event was a testament to the strong bond of care and appreciation between the school’s staff and their students.
For Shadow Hills High, the pancake breakfast has now become a meaningful Valentine’s Day tradition, one that showcases their commitment to making each student feel valued.
