Man Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Palm Springs, Identity Pending

Authorities are awaiting the identification of a man who was struck by a vehicle in Palm Springs Thursday evening. The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of North Palm Canyon Drive and Yorba Road, where officials responded to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle. Palm Springs Fire personnel found the man lying in the roadway and attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
