The University of San Diego golf team swept the 2025 Prestige Golf Tournament at PGA West, capturing both the team and individual titles for the first time since 2016. Leading the charge was standout golfer Ryan Abon, who shot an impressive 11 under par over three days. The Toreros finished with a team total of 29 under.
Head coach praised the team’s preparation and execution, saying, “The boys bought in from the start. We had productive meetings every night, and they executed the game plan perfectly.” Abon echoed the sentiment, emphasizing teamwork and focus: “This team is full of competitors.
