Warm and Sunny Weather Continues in Coachella Valley, 90s Expected Next Week

Coachella Valley residents can expect sunny skies and warmer-than-average temperatures through the weekend, with highs reaching into the low 80s. By early next week, temperatures could hit the 90s for the first time since late October.

This morning’s sunrise in Palm Springs occurred around 6:25 a.m. under mostly clear skies with a few lingering clouds that are expected to clear by this afternoon. Highs today will range between 79 to 83 degrees—several degrees above the seasonal norm of 74. Palm Springs is forecasted to reach 80 degrees, with Indio slightly warmer at 81.

Temperatures across the region started cooler this morning, with Yucca Valley at 50 degrees, Thousand Palms at 61, and Palm Springs at 62. Northerly winds are expected to pick up in the high desert, especially near Yucca Valley and Desert Hot Springs, though no wind advisories are in effect for the valley.

A dry weather pattern continues across Southern California, with humidity levels hovering around 10% through the weekend. Overnight lows will remain above normal under clear skies, with Indio dropping to 53 degrees and Palm Springs to 58.

A warming trend will intensify this weekend as high pressure builds over the area. Saturday may reach 85 degrees, with Sunday climbing into the upper 80s. By Monday and Tuesday, Palm Springs could see highs of 90 and 92 degrees, potentially nearing record territory.
