Around the Town: Charity, Sports, and Culture Events in the Coachella Valley
The Coachella Valley is buzzing with events, and Craig Campbell from CoachellaValley.com has the latest on what’s happening this week!
First up, CV Giving Day 2025 takes place online on Thursday, March 4. One of the Valley’s largest 24-hour fundraising events, it supports hundreds of charities. This year’s spotlight is ReadWithMeVolunteer.org, which engages over 500 volunteers in 22 local schools to help children improve their reading skills. Learn more at CVGivingDay.org or check out the lead article on CoachellaValley.com.
For sports and entertainment fans, Desert Smash 2025 is back for its 21st year at La Quinta Resort on March 3rd and 4th. This two-day celebrity pickleball and tennis event brings together Hollywood stars and pro athletes for charity. Tickets are still available at DesertSmash.com.
On March 6th, LeadershipCV.org’s Speaker Series continues at the Classic Club from 11:30 AM - 1 PM, featuring a 2024 Golden Bachelorette contestant and Palm Desert resident, who also happens to be Tina Turner’s godson. Attendees will hear his personal story and enjoy a networking opportunity. For tickets, email info@leadershipcv.org.
Looking ahead to Saturday, March 2nd, don’t miss these exciting events:
• La Quinta Art Show – A must-see for art lovers.
• Indian Wells BNP Paribas Family Day – A fun-filled event for tennis fans.
• Desert Brew Fest 2025 in Cathedral City – A celebration of craft beer and community.
