Angel Light Academy Hosts 26th Annual Youth Leadership Conference in Rancho Mirage
The 26th annual Youth Leadership Conference, hosted by Angel Light Academy, took place this weekend at Rancho Mirage High School, bringing together young people to develop leadership skills, tackle peer pressure, and address fentanyl prevention.
Designed to empower youth, the event featured interactive workshops focusing on communication, social-emotional learning, and problem-solving. Unlike traditional conferences, this unique program allows students to take the lead, serving as mentors and teachers to their peers.
"Kids listen to other kids way more than they listen to us grown-ups," event organizers shared. "So, we put them on stage, letting them lead and teach others coming into the program."
The conference also emphasized substance abuse prevention, equipping attendees with the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices. Participants earned 12 service hours for their involvement, with scholarships available for those in need.
With youth leadership at its core, Angel Light Academy continues to inspire future community leaders, ensuring young people develop the skills needed to make a difference.
