An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Thursday, March 6, 2025!
As an upper-level low continues its trek across the Southwest, it will continue to drop rain and snow through tomorrow morning.
While scattered showers continue for Southern California through tonight, the Coachella Valley will only see only a few very light showers (if anything at all) with the best shot for some measurable precipitation on its very West end.
Also, the freezing level will be quite low. In fact, we will see additional snowfall above 4000-feet through early Friday morning. A Winter Storm Warning continues for those areas through Friday at 10a.
This system will also kick-up on-shore winds through tonight. A Wind Advisory has been posted for the very West end of the Coachella Valley into the San Gorgonio Pass through Friday at 1a. Also under this advisory is the High Desert.
Valley highs will remain on the cool-side today as temperatures stall in the middle-60s this afternoon.
Skies will slowly clear on Friday followed by lots of sunshine this weekend with warmer highs. You can expect middle-70s on Saturday, upper-70s/lower-80s on Sunday.
The next chances of SoCal precipitation will be next week Tuesday and Thursday.
