An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Sunday, March 16, 2025!

A gusty and dusty forecast is on-the-way.

The Coachella Valley will be under sunny skies today with near-normal high temperatures in the upper-70s. Some clouds will begin moving overhead by this evening.

As a disturbance approaches Southern California, on-shore winds will begin to ramp-up tomorrow. The strongest gusts will be during the afternoon and evening hours on Monday before slowly backing-off early Tuesday morning. A Wind Advisory has been posted for the Coachella Valley, San Gorgonio Pass, High Desert and area mountains. Also, an Air Quality Alert is likely.

Because most of the energy related to this frontal boundary will remain well to our North, only a couple of brief, very light showers are possible over mountains Monday night.

This system will only chip-away a few degrees on Tuesday before those midday numbers begin climbing each day into the next weekend when we heat-up into the upper-80s.
