Read With Me Program Honors 400+ Volunteers, Plans Expansion Across Coachella Valley

The Read With Me program hosted a special luncheon today to honor the dedication of over 400 volunteers who read to children across the Coachella Valley. The event celebrated these volunteers' crucial role in promoting literacy and fostering a love for reading among local kids.

Organizers shared exciting plans to expand the Read With Me program throughout the entire Coachella Valley, aiming to reach more children and communities. To support this growth, the program is actively seeking additional volunteers to join their mission of improving children's literacy.

Erin Hyland, the program's volunteer recruitment coordinator, will discuss the expansion and ways the community can get involved on our NBC Palm Springs Morning Show with Mary Strong on Thursday, March 27th.

Volunteers are the backbone of the Read With Me program, dedicating their time to read and engage with children, significantly impacting their educational development. The program’s expansion is expected to broaden its reach, ensuring more children benefit from early literacy support.

For those interested in becoming a volunteer or learning more about the program, tune in to The Morning Show next Thursday or visit the Read With Me website for details.

The Read With Me program continues to play a vital role in nurturing young readers and strengthening the community’s commitment to education and literacy.
